Health-sciences center bridges healthcare and education needs with Citrix

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) El Paso serves two user groups—healthcare professionals and medical students. They chose NetScaler to ensure that users get consistent, high-quality access to the data and apps they need, regardless of location and device, and without having to over provision resources. NetScaler also helps the university remain HIPAA compliant, more secure, and agile.

Citrix NetScaler enables us to securely deliver virtual applications and desktops, while being cost-efficient, easy-to-manage, highly available, and providing a better user experience.

Local council uses Citrix to drive productivity, flexibility and lower costs

Bath and North East Somerset Council (BANES) serves a population of 180,000 including the historic City of Bath, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the surrounding rural area of North East Somerset. The council has 2,500 IT users spread across the region in over 90 separate offices. Using Citrix products, the council delivered a new home working solution that provides employees to work more flexibly and efficiently.

We’ve found that people working from home are working different hours, which has had a positive impact on service delivery. We have been able to extend the hours we offer to citizens. Overall, the effect on some teams has been transformational.
